Why Do We Want Land?

We are looking for buildable land in Caroline County, so that we can continue to help more families and build affordable homes for low and very low income families in Caroline County in need of decent housing, and help them achieve their dream of first time homeownership.

Campaign Goal

To obtain sufficient buildable land:

1.to help more low income people achieve first time homeownership as quickly and inexpensively as possible; and

2.to become sustainable at 4-5 homes per year and plan for growth to 7 homes per year in 5 years.

What Land Do We Want?

1.contiguous buildable lots within a town, with road, sidewalk, sewer and water already in place (eliminates north county locations with no public sewer and water); or

2.scattered buildable infill lots within a town, with road, sidewalk, sewer and water already in place (eliminates north county locations with no public sewer and water); or

3.improved lots within a town providing remodeling opportunities; or

4.contiguous lots or large parcels that can be subdivided near a town or elsewhere in the county where we would need to install the infrastructure.
