At its February 2010 meeting, the Caroline County Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors voted to select Mr. Bill Clemens to be its new Executive Director. He accepted the appointment and began work on March 1st.

William “Bill” Clemens born 1954, raised in Evanston, Illinois where he met his wife Audrey (married now thirty four years). They moved with a young family, including three children, to NY where Bill expanded his life training (GM Management Training Program) and then further while in NY at the Christ For the Nations Institute of Biblical Studies.

Bill was pastor of Christian City Church of NY in Long Island for 14 years. During that time the church grew from 10 members to nearly 300. He raised sufficient money for the group to purchase property and redeveloped the existing daycare building to include a church sanctuary. Sensing the church was at a place of transition, He left his church as a sound financial and efficiently run operation. Bill sought a great new challenge with a desire to help and return God’s grace to others that He has shown him.

Bill moved to Easton in the summer of 2009 to be with his son, Caleb and his family. He also wanted to get away from the rush and crush of the metropolitan area, and finds the Eastern Shore a most pleasant place to live. He hopes his daughter Kristen and son Severin will move to this area soon. They and their families are still residing in Long Island.

The Board of Directors welcomes Bill as their new Executive Director, and expects that he will carry forward the excellent work accomplished by Leslie Brome during her 6-year tenure as our previous ED.
