April 22: White-A-Thon a Major Success!
Donations for custom whitening kits raised nearly $4,500.00 for Caroline County Habitat for Humanity at the 10th annual White-A-Thon, hosted recently by Smiles By Holsinger & Higgins, 10646 River Road, Denton.
Thanks to the generosity of Patterson Dental Supply Company, St. Paul, MN, which donated all dental and whitening materials, and the staff at Smiles By Holsinger & Higgins who donated their time, 100 percent of the proceeds went to Habitat for Humanity. Since the event’s inception more than $46,721.00 has been raised during this popular fundraiser.
“The White-A-Thon enables patients to get a quality service at a deeply discounted price with a donation that helps local families attain homeownership,” says Patricia A. Higgins, D.D.S. “It is an event that our staff and area residents look forward to each year,” she adds. (Article by Carol D’Agostino)

April 15: New Partner Family Selected for Lake Creek Court Home
For most of us, it’s Income Tax Day, but for Gloria Belfield and her two sons, it’s also New Home Day. The Board of Directors has approved Gloria as our new Partner Family to purchase the Lot 4 house at Lake Creek Court. They’re already busy at work on site accumulating the 500 hours of “sweat equity” required of Habitat Partner Families.
